Directions to the Chalgrove Midsummer Ball from London via the M40

Exit the M40 at Junction 6.

Turn left (south) onto the B4009, towards Watlington. Follow the road to the village, and travel through the middle of Watlington until you reach a T junction. Turn right (signposted Oxford). CAUTION - Watlington has very narrow streets, and can get very busy!

Take the third right turn onto the B480 signposted for Cuxham & Stadhampton. CAUTION - this turn is easy to miss! NB - on some satellite navigation systems, there is a roundabout marked at this point. Whilst there IS a small triangular area, it is not a real roundabout!

After 200 yards, you will come to another roundabout. Go straight over, and follow the road through Cuxham, and on towards Stadhampton. This road has a number of sharp bends, so please be careful. Eventually, you will come to a long straight stretch of road, which leads to Chalgrove.

Turn left at the signpost into Chalgrove. Follow the road around to the right, and continue along the High Street past the shops and pubs until you see The Lamb pub on the left. Just before The Lamb is a left turn; take this turn into Mill Lane.

After approx 100 yards, just before Flemming Avenue on the left, you will see on the right 2 large homes, a brick built house first, then a long black converted barn, with a small access way between them. This will be signposted as the Midsummer Ball Car park. Turn right here, and follow the lane behind the old Tudor Manor House. Our venue is the marquee at the rear of the Manor House. If you pass the Manor House, and/or cross the narrow bridge, you have gone too far.

NB: if you are delivering goods to The Manor, please use this alternative route:

Exit M40 at Junction 7. Turn left onto the A329. Follow this road through Little Milton village (Caution: Speed Camera), and continue until you reach Stadhampton. At the first roundabout you come to, turn left onto the B480 towards Chalgrove. After approx. 1.5 miles, you will see a turning on the right signposted for Chalgrove. Take this right turn, and follow the road until you see The Lamb pub on the right. Turn right into Mill Lane just after The Lamb, and then follow the directions above.
